Arthur "Pops" Plotner

Arthur “Pops” Plotner, 69, of Orange Park, FL, passed away June 1, 2016. He was born on June 25, 1946 in San Bernardino, CA to the late Mark and Marie (Springer) Plotner. Mr. Plotner came to Florida in 1977 from Virginia and was of the Baptist faith. He loved fishing, Jim Beam and his Marlboro cigarettes. Mr. Plotner stood strong for what he felt was right. He was a fine MP and Detective in the United States Army where he proudly served for many years before retiring. Mr. Plotner was so proud of his two sons being veterans and loved that his daughter cooked like his wife. He was overjoyed by his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mr. Plotner was all about God and country. He was preceded in death by his wife of 27 years, Patricia Ann Plotner. Survivors include his sons, John Plotner and Mark Plotner (Janet Leigh); daughter, Yavonne King; sister, Marie Plotner; 10 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Mr. Plotner’s family will receive friends in the Broadus-Raines Chapel on Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at 10:00am.
