Attwood Eldon Meador

Attwood Eldon Meador, 72, of Green Cove Springs, FL, passed away Wednesday, May 27, 2009. Attwood was born June 24, 1936 in Silva, MO and had resided in the area for over 35 years. He was a prosperous businessman and was a member in many local organizations which included the Eagles, Elks and the VFW Post. He is survived by his brother, Ward Meador and his sister, Picola Evans in St. Louis, MO; other family, Thelma Meador of Port Orange, FL; his sons, Rick and Linda Meador, Allen and Susan Meador, all of Green Cove Springs; daughter, Vickie and David Potochnik of Port Orange, FL. He had 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Family and friends will gather from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Friday, May 29, 2009 at Broadus-Raines Funeral Home. Funeral services in celebration of his life will be held at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, May 30, 2009 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel with Pastor Ed Steves officiating.
