Kathleen "Kathy" O. McGrath

On March 31, 2016, Kathy passed away peacefully at Haven Hospice in Orange Park, FL. The daughter of William J. and June R. (Cook) McGrath, Kathy was born in Camp Le Jeune, NC on December 14, 1960. She is preceded in death by her mother, June R. (Cook) McGrath and is survived by her father, William J. McGrath (Nancy); sister, June “Robbie” Richman and her two nephews, Sheriden and Brenden Richman. Kathy was formerly from Falls Church, VA and considered Virginia to be her home; however, in May of 2012 she moved to NE Florida to be close to her family. Kathy loved to work and she was a very dedicated, creative, intelligent, hard working individual with a good sense of humor. Her accomplishments were vast as she held various jobs through the years, including that of an administrative/executive assistant, corporate officer, office manager, legal secretary, Director of Catering and her longest tenure was with Dar & Company as the Business Manager for almost 18 years. She thought of Vinod Dar and his family as her own, as well as, her best friend Millie. From March 2009 until she moved to Florida she was busy baking biscotti and managing her own business called “Just Biscotti”. She also began McGrath Business Solutions in which she would help companies with their business and accounting needs. It wasn’t until her health began to significantly deteriorate that she was no longer able to work, bake and do the things she loved. Kathy is truly missed by her family and friends.
