Willard I. Coon

Willard I. Coon, 87, of Orange Park, FL passed away on May 28, 2009. He was born to parents Everett and Reva on January 8, 1922 in Rossville, IL. Mr. Coon spent three years in The United States Army during WWII with one year overseas in France, Germany and Austria. He married Louise LaMar in 1946 and began a career with Sears, Roebuck and Co. He retired in 1980 after thirty-four years. Mr. Coon moved to Orange Park in 2003 and was a member of The Island View Baptist Church. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Ronald. He is survived by his wife Louise; one daughter, Melodee; son, Charles; three grandsons: Adam (Lisa), Scot, and Todd; and one great-granddaughter, Kalla. A Memorial Service with military honors at the Jacksonville National Cemetery will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to NE Florida Community Hospice.
