James "Jamie" Griffin

James “Jamie” Griffin, 53, of Jacksonville, FL, passed away Saturday, June 6, 2009. He was born on November 18, 1955 in Orange Park, FL to parents, Clarence and Mary Griffin. Mr. Griffin was a carpenter by trade and attended Doctor’s Inlet Church of God. He loved his grandchildren with all his heart. They were his life and he enjoyed taking them hunting and to livestock auctions. He will be dearly missed by his loving family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister and brother-in-law, Donna and Roy Clark. Survivors include his loving wife of 33 years, Susie Griffin; daughter, Melissa Griffin; brothers, Miles Griffin (Susan) and Jerry Griffin (Katie); grandchildren, Amara and Jacob and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Tuesday, June 9, 2009 at Broadus-Raines Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, June 10, 2009 at Doctor’s Inlet Church of God with Reverend Christopher Oliver officiating. Pallbearers will be Thomas, Jeffery, Chad and Scott Griffin, Jason Dodd, Justin Harper and Lawton Jeffers. Interment will follow in Jacksonville Memory Gardens.
