James A. Bazley, 70, of Green Cove Springs, FL, passed away July 4, 2016. He was born on November 19, 1945 in Jersey City, NJ to parents Alvin and Amelia (Cooper) Bazley. Mr. Bazley served his country in the United States Coast Guard and was an Accounting Supervisor for Petro Services. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Fleming Island and a member of the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed reading, studying history and especially his time with his loving family. He was preceded in death by his parents; by his son, Edward H. Bazley and his brother, William S. Bazley. Survivors include his wife, Jean H. Bazley; daughter, Mary R. Abt (Andrew) and their children, Sophie, Zoie, Sawyer and Archer Abt; daughter, Sarah E. Campbell (Kevin) and their children, Sean and Liam Campbell; brothers, Thomas E. Bazley (Elaine), John A. Bazley (Nancy) and Robert D. Bazley (Patricia) and sister-in-law, Joan Bazley. A Vigil Service will be held at 6:00 pm Monday, July 11, 2016 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel followed by visitation until 8:00 pm. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 7190 Hwy. 17 South, Fleming Island, FL 32003 with Fr. Donal Sullivan as Celebrant. Inurnment will follow in the Sacred Heart Columbarium. In lieu of flowers please make contributions in his name to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital at www.stjude.org.
