William George Stroop

Bill Stroop, 56, died Sunday June 14, 2009 in Green Cove Springs, FL where he was rector of St. Mary’s Church. He was a scientist and Episcopal priest. Before attending the Seminary of the Southwest in Austin, TX Bill was a research scientist and medical school professor. After his ordination he served the Lord at St. Paul’s in Fayetteville, AR; St. George’s in Roseburg, OR; Trinity in Hattiesburg, MS; and St. Mary’s in Green Cove Springs, FL. He is survived by his loving wife Sunshine; his daughter, Miriam of Roseburg, OR; and his sister, Marge Frymire of Klamath Falls, OR. Services will be held 10 AM, Saturday June 20, 2009 at St. John’s Cathedral, 256 East Church Street in Jacksonville, FL. A memorial service will be held at a later date at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Fayetteville, AR.
