Edward Dean Carter

Edward Dean Carter, 78, born July 3, 1930 in Canton, OK to John and Elva Carter, passed away June 21, 2009 in Orange Park, FL. He was a loving husband, father and friend. Ed served proudly and retired from the United States Navy and Metal Container Corp, Jacksonville, FL. He belonged to the First Baptist Church of Green Cove Springs, FL and was a living testimony of his faith. Ed loved boating on the St. Johns River and nature. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him. Ed is survived by his wife of 56 years, Edith Carter; son, Edward Dean Carter, Jr.; daughters, Judith Naylor (Douglas), of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL, Marie Myers (Brett) of DeBary, FL, 4 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held 3 PM, Friday, June 26, 2009 at First Baptist Church, 615 Walnut St., Green Cove Springs, FL with Pastor Sam Castaño officiating.
