William “Bill” Miller, 81, of Orange Park, FL passed away Tuesday, June 23, 2009. He was born on May 25, 1928 to the parents, David and Anna Miller in Ovid, NY. He had four sisters and two brothers. Bill worked as a general laborer for the City of Canandaigua in New York. He served his country honorably in The United States Army. Bill became affiliated with the Loyal Order of Moose in February, 1975 when he joined the Canandaigua, NY Lodge #1048. He was also a member of the Seminole, FL Moose Legion # 81. Bill came to Moosehaven on January 17, 1996 where he resided for 13 years. When he first came to Moosehaven, he had a sunshine job of yard work around Legion Hall. For years Bill spent his afternoons in the Michigan Building Recreation Center, playing Penny Annie Poker with some of his friends. A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, July 1, 2009 at 1:00 PM at the Moosehaven Chapel with inurnment in Moosehaven Mausoleum. Services conducted by Rev. Helen Taylor and Officers of Opportunity Lodge. Military honors will be conferred at the service. He is survived by one brother, Donald Miller of Charlotte, NC, and four sisters, Janet Miller, Elizabeth Smith, Eva Dewey of Canandaigua, NY, Margaret Smith of Lake Worth, FL and Marjorie Church of St. Petersburg, FL.
