Paul Michael Kerns, Jr.

Paul Michael Kerns, Jr., 41, of Middleburg, FL, passed away Tuesday, September 6, 2016. He was born on July 8, 1975 in Paterson, New Jersey to parents Paul Michael Kerns, Sr. and Nalani Merry Kerns. Mr. Kerns was a US Army Veteran who served as an artillery mechanic in Operation Iraqi Freedom. Before joining the Army, he attended Middleburg High School. He lived his life to the fullest through simple pleasures such as, playing video games alone or with his family, riding his favorite motorcycles and cheering on his favorite sports teams: The New Jersey Devils and the Green Bay Packers. Mr. Kerns was also a proud member of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma. He will be dearly missed by his family and loved ones. Mr. Kerns is survived by his mother, Nalani Kerns; sister, Michelle Morgan; brother-in-law, Steve Morgan; nieces, Krista and Allison Morgan. He was married to Amber Kerns and had two daughters, Julie and Jillian Kerns. He also had a step-son, Christian Sanderford. A Graveside service with military honors will be held on Monday, September 12, 2016 at 11:30am at Jacksonville National Cemetery.
