John Carl Smith, Sr.

John Carl Smith, Sr., 74, of Middleburg, FL, passed away Wednesday, July 1, 2009. He was born October 15, 1934 in St. Louis, MO to Carl Grantly and Virginia Gray Smith. He proudly served his country 21 years in the United States Navy. Mr. Smith was a 3rd degree Mason and a member of the DAV. He will be dearly missed by his loving family and friends. John is survived by his wife, Miriam; sons, John, Jr., Ralph, Calvin, Chris; daughters, Debbie, Lyn, Vickie, LeeAnn; brothers, Grantly; 14 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; 2 nephews and 1 niece. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm, Monday, July 6, 2009 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel with Rev. Mike Madaris officiating. Please sign the family's online guestbook at www.broadusraines.com.
