Wilfred C. Saaranen

Wilfred C. Saaranen, 86, of Florahome, FL passed away Thursday, July 2, 2009. Mr. Saaranen was born the youngest of 8 children to the late Henry and Sophia Saaranen on February 1, 1921 in South Range, MI. He honorably served his nation in The United States Navy and was a veteran of World War II. Later, he worked for Ex-Cell-o Corp. in Highland Park, Michigan. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion. Survivors include: his beloved wife of 66 years, Rachel Saaranen; son, Glenn (Janice) Saaranen; 2 daughters, Joy (Jim) Fisher and Karen (Al) Lehr; 4 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
