Oak Island, NC #2059 Annette M. Barbour January 9, 2013 – September 28, 2016 Annette M. Barbour, 84, passed away peacefully on September 28, 2016 in her home at Moosehaven in Orange Park, FL. She was born on January 9, 1932 to parents Chester and Doris (Priest) Sharon in Rutland, Vermont. Annette graduated from Rutland High School in 1950. She was a Manager/bartender for Club 52 in North Kingston, Rhode Island. Annette enjoyed gardening and staying up all night playing cards her family said she was a “Night Owl”. Annette loved Christmas it was her favorite time of the year she would celebrate it year round if she could. Her family said she was a true artist, and she would paint her own ornaments for her 3 Christmas trees. She was very creative and could paint pictures and wood art. She became affiliated with the Loyal Order of Moose on February 10, 1999 when she joined the Allheart #3000. Annette was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend who will be deeply missed by all. Annette was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Gary Sharon and her husband Paul S. Barbour. She is survived by her son Kim David Barrett of Springfield, VT; daughters, Kelly Ann Young of Southport, NC and Karen Tierney of Phoenix, AZ; brother, Donald T. Sharon of Southport, NC; sister, MaryLou Lane of Key West, FL; grandchildren, Stacy Hannah, Stephen Berry, Sean Tierney,Casey Tierney and Tamara Matulonis. She also leaves behind 1 great-grandson Jackson Hannah who she was able to see last week. Family will receive friends at 3:30 pm in the Moosehaven Life Care Chapel on Thursday, September 29, 2016 followed by a private Memorial at 4:00PM with Rev. Jess McCrosky.
