Georgia "Penny" Trawick

Georgia “Penny” Trawick, 76, of Jacksonville, FL, passed away Saturday, July 4, 2009. She was born on February 19, 1933 in Jacksonville, FL to parents, Edwin and Mary Tripp. Penny was a real estate broker for many years and in 1974 was the West Nassau County Coordinator of “How Can We Help” senior citizen program. She was a member of Shadco and the Picketville Civic Club. Penny enjoyed dancing and was a member of the Hal Hill’s Dance Party and the Lane-Wiley Senior Center Dance Club. Penny loved the water and walking on the beach and will be dearly missed by her loving family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, Leslie, Ray, Frank and Fred Tripp. Survivors include her husband, Paul Kurtz; children, Joye (Steve) Finch, Micheal (Sandra) Carroll and Gayla (Michael) Reed; brother, Cecil (Mary) Tripp; grandchildren, Keith (Karri) Johns, Allison (Pete) Behringer, Andy (Lisa) Johns, Brian (Jeanna) Carroll, Tiffany (Josh) Baker, Chad (Katherine) Reed and Kevin Reed and great-grandchildren, Kathleene Johns, Tripp Johns, Daniell Behringer, Addyson Carroll, Michael Carroll, Brooks Carroll and Rylan Carroll. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Tuesday, July 7, 2009 at Cornerstone Baptist Church, 3436 Lane Ave. N., Jacksonville, FL 32254. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, July 8, 2009 at Cornerstone Baptist Church with Pastor Dean Starling officiating. Interment will follow in Westview Cemetery.
