Irving Padgett, Jr.

Irving Padgett, Jr., 73, of Middleburg, FL, passed away Sunday, July 5, 2009. He was born on September 30, 1935 in Maxville, FL to parents, Irving and Lula Padgett, Sr. Mr. Padgett retired as a Chief Warrant Officer in the Army National Guard with 33 years of service. He was a member of the VFW and enjoyed fishing and football. Mr. Padgett was a member of Russell Baptist Church and will be dearly missed by his loving family and friends. Survivors include his loving wife of 47 years, Joyce Padgett; children, Irving (Rebecca) Padgett, III, Carla (Rey) Pardo and Matthew Padgett and grandchildren, Sarah Padgett, Rachel Padgett, Daniel Pardo, Joseph Pardo, Christina Pardo and Luke Pardo. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Wednesday, July 8, 2009 at Broadus-Raines Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, July 9, 2009 at Russell Baptist Church with Rev. Ron Baker officiating. Interment with full military honors will follow in the church cemetery.
