Sofia Alejandra Gutierrez

Sofia Alejandra Gutierrez, 11, of Fleming Island, FL, passed away Saturday, July 18, 2009. She was born on April 10, 1998 in Arlington, VA to parents, Omar and Monica Gutierrez. Sofia was a student at Thunderbolt Elementary and was on the AB Honor Roll, the News Crew and enjoyed volleyball and soccer. Sofia also enjoyed modeling, cooking and arts and crafts. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Fleming Island and will be dearly missed by her loving family and friends. Survivors include her parents, Omar S. and Monica M. Gutierrez; grandparents, Martha Masmarques, Orlando and Beatriz Gutierrez and Carmen Rosa Gutierrez; sister, Emma Natalia Gutierrez; cousin, Bianca Gutierrez and aunts, Karina and Angelica Gutierrez. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 4:00 pm Tuesday, July 21, 2009 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Fr. Donal Sullivan as Celebrant. The family will receive friends for viewing in the church Tuesday from 3:00 pm until service time.
