Refa Haywood

Refa Haywood, 84, passed away on July 21, 2009, in Green Cove Springs, FL. She was born September 1, 1924 in Tifton, GA. Refa was a resident at Moosehaven for 3 years. She was preceded in death by, her husband Sanger Haywood and son, Richard Kurtzo. She is survived by her sons, Joe and Robert Kurtzo, Forrest and Ronald Wilcox; her daughters, Drucilla Messner, Rose Seitz, Patricia Cuntapay, Carol Welchance, Linda Sigimon, Margie Ussery and Wanda Macko. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Refa enjoyed traveling to the mountains and going to the beach. But above all, she loved her family and will be remembered for being a loving and dedicated mother, grandmother and friend to many. Refa was truly beautiful inside and out a magnificent example to all who knew her, and was full of unconditional love. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Alzheimer’s Association, Florida Chapter or Moose Charities. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, July 24, 2009 at Moosehaven Chapel.
