Paulinea (Paula) Clay, 98, of St. Augustine, passed away quietly on November 29, 2016. She was born in New York, and moved to Florida at the young age of 86. She began her modeling career in 1935, worked as an occupational therapist in the early fifties and in the sixties, she started her artist career with oils and acrylics, won many awards and sold many paintings. Paula enjoyed writing and was published in the eighties. She also made jewelry and shell pictures. For the past 8 years, one of her greatest joys was riding her 3 wheel-bike. She is survived by two sons and a daughter, Jefferson Clay of Florida, Henry Clay and wife Geraldine of Florida and daughter, Sharon and husband Richard Blount of Florida. She has 11 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 2 great great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held at 3:00pm, Sunday, December 4, 2016 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel with Chaplain Ann Greenwood officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm until service time.
