Edward M. Davis

Edward M. Davis, 95, of Green Cove Springs, FL passed away on Saturday, December 3, 2016.  He was born in Buckingham County, VA on March 4, 1921 to parents, Asa and Roberta (Childress) Davis. Edward proudly and honorably served in the United States Navy and is a World War II veteran. He was a dedicated member of Hickory Grove Baptist Church and loved to sing. Edward was a loving and grateful husband, father and grandfather who cherished spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife of 66 wonderful years, Charlene Davis; sons, Mark Davis and his wife Pauletta, Scott Davis and wife Sandy, Brian “Sam” Davis and his wife Holly and Jeffrey Davis and his wife Sheryl; daughter, Robin Hilton and her husband Larry; sister, Helen Lawson; grandchildren, Leah Hilton, Kyle Hilton, Lahryn Davis, Mark Davis, Jr., Brian Davis, Jr., Blaine Davis and Summer Davis and great-grandchildren Abigail Hilton, Makenzie Hilton and Waylon Van Tol.   The family will received friends at 10:00am, Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at Hickory Grove Baptist Church with funeral services to follow at 11:00am with Rev. Russell Franklin officiating. Interment will follow at Hickory Grove Cemetery.
