Brian Donaghy was born on December 8, 1939, in Cumberland, Kentucky, to William and Kathleen Donaghy. During World War II they migrated to Detroit, Michigan and after the war to Jacksonville, Florida. He graduated from Bishop Kenny High School in 1957 and later enlisted in the US Army. After his military service, he was an agent with Independent Life Insurance Co. He is predeceased by five brothers, William, Terrence, Albert, Michael, and James, and three sisters, Eileen, Maureen and Nora Landrum. He is survived by two sisters, Kathleen Carroll of Jacksonville, Florida and Monica Greenlee of Westland, Michigan, and 106 nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews, and great-grand nieces and nephews scattered from Florida to Rhode Island to Illinois to Texas. He had great memories of golfing, fishing and hanging out with his brothers. He will be remembered for taking such good care of his Mother, his easy going manner and his wonderful deep laugh. He passed away on August 3, 2009 in Orange Park, Florida. We will miss him but know that he is in a better place.
