Russell Kell, 82, of Orange Park, FL, passed away Wednesday, August 5, 2009. He was born on September 30, 1926 in Chattanooga, TN to parents, Russell and Aliene Kell, Sr. Mr. Kell was a World War II Veteran, serving his country in the United States Navy. He was the former Chief of Police in Signal Mountain, TN and retired as Chief of Security at Moosehaven in Orange Park, FL after 14 years of service. He was a member of Central Baptist Church in Orange Park, FL and enjoyed fishing and baseball. Mr. Kell was preceded in death by his parents; by his wife, Helen Kell and by his son, Tommy Kell. Survivors include his children, Kathi Peterson (Don), Karin Dale (Jimmy), Russell Kell (Diane) and Kim Brady (Bill); caregiver, Nina Hatcher (Charles); 10 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 pm Friday, August 7, 2009 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel with Rev. Johnny Thomas officiating. The family will receive friends in the chapel prior the service beginning at 2:00 pm until service time. Final services and interment will be held in Chattanooga, TN.
