Ann Lee “Nanny” McDonald Sigmon, 87, of Bethlehem, NC, passed away on Wednesday, August 5, 2009 at Lutheran Home Hickory West in North Carolina.
Born March 5, 1922 in Williamsburg County, SC, she was the daughter of the late Zayda McRoy and Samuel Edwin McDonald.
She was of the Baptist faith and spent many years teaching Sunday school and singing in the choir. Her church was very important to her, second only to her family whom she adored.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers: Jackson D. McDonald, Walton H. McDonald, Roy McDonald, Jay McDonald; three sisters: Julia Mary M. Boyd, Alzayda M. Mitchell, and Margaret Ann M. Grady.
She is survived by her daughter, Ann L. Page and husband William E. “Bill” Page, Jr. of Bethlehem, NC, a grandson, William R. Page, Sr. of Fort Myers, FL; four great-grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Monday, August 10, 2009 in the Holly Hill Memorial Park Chapel, Middleburg, FL with Reverend Ron Baker officiating. The family will receive friends in the chapel beginning at 10:00 am until service time. Interment will follow in Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery.
