Diane Elaine Forrester

Diane Elaine Forrester (Pappas) passed on after a valiant battle with cancer, peacefully holding the hand of her beloved husband, William Baillie Forrester, in Haven Hospice on December 25, 2016 in Palatka, Florida at the age of 57. Diane is survived by her husband, William Baillie Forrester III, 62, of Crescent City, Florida; two twin Sons, 34, both of St. Augustine Florida, Jason William Forrester ( Mikel Colakoglu), Joshua Baillie Forrester (Corinne Moyer); four beautiful grandchildren, Kylee Elizabeth Forrester (6), Brayden Baillie Forrester (2) , Bryson Lee Forrester (2) , and SylviaRose Takuhi Forrester (3 months). Phillip Pappas, brother, of Jacksonville Florida. She is preceded in death by her Father Evan Phillip Pappas and Sylvia Pappas both of Jacksonville Florida. Diane was born on December 26, 1958 in Jacksonville, Florida to Evan and Sylvia Pappas. She graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in 1976. She married William Baillie Forrester III, June 2, 1979. They went on to have twin boys September 8, 1982, Jason and Joshua. In 2001 the family was blessed with the adoring love of Gretchen, the family dachshund who quickly became Diane’s partner in crime and song. She will be remembered fondly by her friends and family as a strong, passionate woman who lived every day to the fullest with no regrets. She was a generous and active member of the community and enjoyed giving her time to the Elks Lodge, of Green Cove Springs, Florida and Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in St. Augustine, Florida. She loved the beach and everything Florida Life had to offer, her happiest moments were spent with her family and friends enjoying the warmth of laughter and sun with sand in her toes and salt in her hair. A memorial service and celebration of her life is scheduled for January 7, 2017 at 2 pm at 702 S Orange Ave, Green Cove Springs, FL 32043 the Green Cove Springs Elks Lodge #1892. The family would like to thank Haven Hospice for the warmth and care they provided in her last days along with all the support and help of friends and family throughout her struggle. A 40 day prayer service will follow February 5, 2017 at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 2940 CR-214, St. Augustine, FL 32084, and Divine Liturgy at 10 am with social hour to follow.
