Daniel J. Webber, 76, of Fleming Island, FL, passed away December 28, 2016. He was born on March 2, 1940 in Breckenridge, TX to parents, George C. and Minnie J. (Weaver) Webber. He had been a resident of Fleming Island for 11 years and a proud native of West Texas. He was a member of Grace Anglican Church in Fleming Island and the Elks Club in Green Cove Springs. He was incredibly generous to anyone in need and was known as the “Dollhouse Man” because he built dollhouses for underprivileged children. He graduated first in his class in 1964 at the Officer Candidate School of the Florida National Guard. He was also an avid fan of the Clemson Tigers, Miami Hurricanes and the Dallas Cowboys. Mr. Webber loved his cat, Missy, and enjoyed watching and feeding the deer in his back yard. He was predeceased by his parents and is survived by his wife of 52 years, Maureen J. Webber; son, Timothy J. Webber (Melissa); daughter, Deborah A. Raab (Chris); grandchildren, Garrett, Kyle, Bethany, Jack and Cade. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, January 2, 2017 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel with The Rev. Mike McDonald officiating.
