Jeannette B. Owens

Jeannette B. Owens, 90, died August 7, 2009. She was a native of Ludowici, GA and had lived in Jacksonville for 40 years. She was “Mama to all” and is survived by her three children, Edwardine “Eddi” Welty (John), Wayne Owens (Karen) and Martin Owens L.F.D. (Phyllis); 5 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 pm Tuesday, August 11, 2009 in Garden City Church of God, 10765 Lem Turner Rd., Jacksonville, FL 32218. Friends may call at the church Tuesday from 9 am until service time. Private burial will be in Gethsemane Memorial Gardens. Flowers are appreciated or donations in her name may be made to Community Hospice of Northeast Florida, 4266 Sunbeam Rd., Jacksonville, FL 32257.
