Richard “Dick” Bureau, 69, of Green Cove Springs, FL, passed away Monday, August 17, 2009. He was born on September 7, 1939 in Hartford, CT to parents, Lionel and Laurienne Bureau. Mr. Bureau had worked as an electrician with Clay County Maintenance for 14 years and was working part-time with the Town of Orange Park. He was of the Catholic faith and was a member of the Elk’s Lodge #1892 in Green Cove Springs. Mr. Bureau enjoyed building model airplanes, golfing and basketball. He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Brian Joseph Bureau and his sister, Marie Fooshee. Survivors include his wife, Mary Bureau; sons, Steve (Allison) Bureau, Mark (Karen) Bureau, Phillip (Wendy) Bureau, Paul (Becky) Bureau and Raymond (Beth) Bureau; sister, Linda Wilson; 10 grandchildren and a great-grandson. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am Saturday, August 22, 2009 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Fleming Island with Father Donal Sullivan as Celebrant. Visitation will be in the church Saturday morning 9:00 am until service time. Interment will follow in Penney Farms Cemetery. Please sign the family’s online register book at www.broadusraines.com.
