Mara Estrin

Mara Estrin, formerly Dobrich, died peacefully after an extended illness in Jacksonville Florida on February 4, 2017 at the age 82. Mara is survived by her husband, Sherwin “Sharkey” Estrin, son, Michael Estrin (wife, Jennifer) and daughter, Leslie Kim Wellman (husband, Michael), two grandchildren, Chloe Estrin and Brittany Wellman. She was preceded in death by her sister Angelina “Babe” Reid. Mara was born on March 9, 1934 in Baltimore Maryland to Rade and Andja Dobrich. Mara had a wonderful professional career as an X-ray technician at Sinai Hospital in Baltimore.  Mara married Sharkey, when he swept her off her feet at her high school prom. Mara and Sharkey enjoyed many world travels, but Mara’s true passion was her love of her husband and children. Mara will be buried in a private celebration of her life with close family.
