Syble passed away peacefully on February 3, 2017 in the Moosehaven Life Care Center at the age of 93. She was born on July 15, 1923 to parents Henry and Grace (Moreland) Huddleaton in Holdenville, Oklahoma. She married Lyle Plank on April 17, 1941. They had two children Charles and Grace; she also had a foster daughter Elsie Hesseltine. She later married Kenneth Medlock on May 15, 1956. Syble worked in commercial laundry folding hot sheets as well as working at a soda fountain shop making fresh cake donuts. She owned and operated Syble’s Beauty Shoppe for 30 years and was an instructor at Napa Beauty College for 5 years. She also worked as a crossing guard for the Napa Unified School District and retired in 1998. Syble became affiliated with the Loyal Order of Moose on June 20, 1947 when she joined Apache Junction, AZ Chapter #1127. She received her Academy of Friendship on May 5, 1960 and her College of Regents on June 8, 1991. Syble came to Moosehaven on May 13, 2003 where she resided for 14 years. She enjoyed doing bead work making beautiful jewelry she sold in the Moosehaven gift shop. Syble was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth Medlock and her daughter, Grace Plank who died when she was 21 in a car accident. She is survived by son Charles Plank and his wife Andrea of Dickinson, TX; Foster Daughter, Elsie Hesseltine of Vancouver, WA; 4 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren and expecting another great-great grandchild in July of 2017. Memorial Services will be held on Friday, February 24, 2017 at 10:00 am in the Moosehaven Chapel with Reverend Helen Taylor officiating and Officers of Opportunity Chapter. Internment of ashes will follow in the Moosehaven Mausoleum.
