Robert “Bob” Borem passed away Friday, August 14, 2009 in the Moosehaven Life Care Center at the age of 81.
He was born to Robert and Goldie Borem on March 30, 1928 in Rushville, IN. Bob served in the Army Air Corps during World War II.
Bob became affiliated with the Loyal Order of Moose on November 13, 1966 when he joined Sanford, Fl Lodge #1851. Bob served as Governor and Jr. Governor, Sgt. at Arms and Trustee. He received his Fellowship Degree of Honor on November 2, 1975. He was a member of the 25 club and sponsored 87 members in his lifetime. Bob was also a member of the Moose St. John’s River Legion #227.
Bob came to Moosehaven on March 30, 2005 where he resided for 4 years. After a short time, he met a lovely lady Nancy Silva and they married October 1, 2005 in the Moosehaven Chapel.
Funeral Services were held Tuesday, August 18, 2009 at 2:00 pm in the Moosehaven Chapel with entombment in Moosehaven Mausoleum. Services conducted by Rev. Helen Taylor and Officers of Opportunity Lodge.
He is survived by his wife Nancy Borem, a Moosehaven resident, a son, Daniel Borem of Geneva, FL and a daughter Rebecca Borem of Lake Mary, FL.
