Faye Morrison Compton

Faye Morrison Compton, 87, of Middleburg, FL, passed away February 28, 2017.  She was born on October 1, 1929 in Clover, SC to the late Marian Morrison and Gertrude Patterson Adams. Faye was of the Baptist faith and a devoted member of Black Pond Baptist Church where she cherished her church family.  She loved to fish and above all else her family, but especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Faye was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Compton; her son, Michael Compton and grandson, James Michael Griffin. Survivors include her five children, Gary Compton (Vanesa), Dennis Compton (Annie), Brenda Brooks (James), Jennifer Bateson (Robert) and Pam Compton; sister, Diane Flack (David); grandchildren, Jason, Shanna, Joshua, Ashley, Justin, Kaci, Jessica, Bryan, Sunshine, Carrie, Wooda, James and Samantha and great-grandchildren, Emma Faye, Mason, Brayden, Hedden, Harley, Kayleigh, Brittany, Brodie, Justin Ray, Hunter, Dallas, Allison, Bubba, Scarlet and Raylee. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, March 3, 2017 at Black Pond Baptist Church with Pastor Charlie Hunt officiating.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until service time.  Interment will follow in Holly Hill Memorial Park.
