Chester S. Rogaski

Chester S. Rogaski, 91, passed away Thursday August 27, 2009 in Jacksonville, Florida. Mr. Rogaski was born September 7, 1917 in Yonkers, NY to Stanley and Mary Ann Rogaski. In 2002 Chester moved from Nalcrest, FL and settled in Orange Park, FL. Having an entrepreneurial spirit, he opened Chet’s Delicatessen in Linden, NJ. Also during his working career he had been a tool & die maker, and in later years, a volunteer fireman in Nalcrest, FL. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Fleming Island, FL, Knights of Columbus, Linden, NJ, and the AFL CIO United Steelworkers Union. Chester was preceded in death by his wife, Caroline. He is survived by his son, Stanley J. (Peg) Rogaski, Ponta Verda Beach, FL; daughters, Carol Ann (Richard) Trache, Orange Park, FL, and Claire (Alex) Mocciola, Duncanville, TX; eight grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 9:30 am to 11:00 am on Monday, August 31, 2009 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 7190 Highway 17 South, Fleming Island, FL, with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11:00am.
