Barbara Crook Roberts

Barbara Crook Roberts “Matriarch” loving mother, sister and nanny, passed away March 7, 2017 at Haven Hospice in Palatka, FL.  Barbara was born on November 17, 1934 in Liberty, NY and resided in Pittstown, NY before moving to Green Cove Springs, FL, where she lived for 46 years.  She is preceded in death by her parents, Viola and John Crook; daughter, Debra Smith; granddaughter, Erica Smith; great-grandsons, Christopher Price Smith and Kyle Andrew Coleman; brother, Richard Crook and sister, Gina Brownell. Barbara is survived by her brother, John Crook, Jr. (Joan); sister, Karen Hudson (Brian); children, Leigh Smith (Debby), Tammie Holbrook (Buddy), Laurie Smith (Donald), Paul Smith (Gail) and Lisa Smith; 12 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren and 5 great great-grandchildren.  She will be missed by all including her close and loyal friends, Vonnie Hawks and Barbara Coon.  Barbara has 2 loving and loyal fur babies, Dixie and Sassy.
