Paul Douglas Baxter, Sr.

Paul Douglas Baxter, Sr., 76, of Green Cove Springs, FL passed away on March 20, 2017.  He was born on December 16, 1940 in Malden, Massachusetts to the late Thomas Henry and Doris E. (Spracklin) Baxter.  Mr. Baxter came to the area in 2010 from Topsham, Maine and was of the Episcopalian faith.  He proudly served his country before retiring from the United States Navy. Mr. Baxter went on to work for Bath Iron Works (BIW) where he also retired after many years of service.  He enjoyed golf and watching the Red Sox.  Mr. Baxter is survived by his wife of 57 years, Bette Baxter; sons, Paul D. Baxter (Julie), Michael E. Baxter, Mark T. Baxter (Starr) and Nathan A. Eccleston-Baxter; daughters, Laura A Gamrat, Rachele L. Baxter-Fair and Rebecca L. Bradberry (Daniel); 15 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Inurnment at the Jacksonville National Cemetery will be held at a later date.
