Henry Folger passed away August 24, 2009 of Orange Park, Fl. passed away on August 24, 2009 at the age of 81. He was born to Henry and Jessie Folger on September 16, 1927 in Middleboro, MA. He married Dorothea Beck on September 10, 1955. They had two children, Debbie and David. Dorothea preceded him in death on April 25, 2009. Henry worked many years in various positions for the US Air Force and retired on December 31, 1989. He became affiliated with the Loyal Order of Moose in January 21, 1990 when he joined Brooksville, FL Lodge #1676. He earned his Fellowship degree on October 30, 1999 and was a Governor and Past Governor. He was a member of the 25 Club on August 2, 2002 and sponsored a total of 26 members in his lifetime. He was also a member of Cypress Moose Legion #202. Dorothea and Henry came to Moosehaven on November 22, 2005 where he resided for 3 years. Dorthea had a stroke back in 1995 and Henry was the primary care giver. He was very good to Dorthea and did not go anywhere without her. They enjoyed going to the Michigan Building socializing with friends every afternoon. Memorial Services held Tuesday, September 22, 2009 at the Moosehaven Chapel followed by spreading of ashes in St. John’s River. Service conducted by Rev. Helen Taylor and Officers of Opportunity Lodge. He is survived by his daughter, Debbie Goempel of Tewksbury, MA and his son, David Folger of Medford, MA.
