PR1 (Ret.) Larry Webb, of Orange Park, FL, passed away Thursday, October 1, 2009. He was born on April 21, 1943 in Akron, OH to parents, Donald and Doris Webb. He was a retired Parachute Rigger First Class in the United States Navy with 21 years of service as well as a Vietnam War Veteran. Mr. Webb was a lifetime member of the VFW; a member of the Fleet Reserve Association Branch 91 and the American Legion. He was a member of the Parachute Riggers Association and enjoyed bowling and the Jacksonville Jaguars. He was of the Catholic faith and will be dearly missed by his loving family and friends. Mr. Webb was preceded in death by his father and by his brother, Dennis Webb. Survivors include his mother, Doris Webb of Grand Rapids, MI; wife, Charlotte Webb of Orange Park, FL; son, Larry W. (Patricia) Webb, Jr. of Arlington, TX; daughter, Pamela Webb of Orange Park, FL; brothers, Keith Webb of Columbus, OH, Donald Webb of Elyria, OH and Kurt Webb of Akron, OH; sisters, Trudy McDonald of Marion, OH and Wanda Koltnow of Grand Rapids, MI and 6 grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 12:00 Noon on Monday, October 5, 2009 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel with Dr. Tim McDaniel officiating. Following cremation, he will be inurned at Jacksonville National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in his name may be made to Community Hospice of Northeast Florida, 4266 Sunbeam Rd., Jacksonville, FL 32257.
