Margaret Ferguson

Margaret Ferguson passed away September 28, 2009 in the Moosehaven Life Care Center at the age of 85. She was born to Richard and Mary Armstrong on January 26, 1924 in Baltimore, MD. Margaret married Gordon Zollinhofer in 1951 in Cameron, WV and divorced in 1968. They had two children Richard and Noni. She then married Irvin “Fergie” Ferguson on December 20, 1974 in Waterford, CT. She was a registered nurse and spent the first fifteen years of her nursing career in various hospitals. Her later years were spent as a private duty nurse. Margaret became affiliated with the Loyal Order of Moose in April 24, 1971 when her husband, Fergie joined Clearwater, FL Lodge #1030. He later transferred to Lake Shore Lodge #2020. She joined Clearwater, FL Chapter #995 and became an active member serving as Argus and earned her Academy of Friendship. She was active in Moosehaven’s Opportunity Chapter serving as Jr. Grad. Regent after completing a year as Senior Regent in 1992. Margaret enjoyed the Model Railroad Club, that used to meet at Moosehaven and the Florida Air Club in which Fergie was a active participant. Margaret and Fergie came to Moosehaven on September 19, 1989 where she has resided for 20 years. She is survived by her husband, Irvin “Fergie” Ferguson, a Moosehaven resident, Orange Park, FL and two children, Richard Zollinhofer of Grandview, TN and Noni Henderson of Leonardtown, MD.
