Mell Savage Peeples

Mell Savage Peeples, 88, of San Mateo, FL and former resident of Green Cove Springs, FL passed away peacefully on October 3, 2009. She was born August 23, 1921 in Berkeley County, SC. She was the youngest child of Ed and Annie Savage. She was the wife of the late Clarence Ray Peeples, Sr. She is survived by her daughter, Ann (Dick) Beale, San Mateo, FL; sons, Eddie (Elizabeth) Peeples and Clarence Ray Peeples, Jr. (Lynn) of Green Cove Springs. Granny Peeples had 8 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She was loved and cherished by all. Mrs. Peeples was a member of Hickory Grove Baptist Church in Green Cove Springs. She served many years as the Children’s Director, Sunday School teacher and Vacation Bible School teacher. She loved to read her Bible and was a prayer warrior for all. Her devotion of God and family was rewarded with a peaceful journey to meet her Lord. Visitation will be Tuesday evening, October 6, 2009, 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Broadus-Raines Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, October 7, 2009 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel. Interment will follow at Hickory Grove Cemetery in Green Cove Springs, FL.
