Terry Jeffers, Sr.

Terry Jeffers, Sr., 60, of Lawtey, FL, passed away Tuesday, October 20, 2009. He was born on July 17, 1949 in Jacksonville, FL to parents, Richard and Minnie Jeffers. Mr. Jeffers was the Program Director for the Clay County Parks and Recreation Department. He was a member of Black Pond Baptist Church and enjoyed motorcycle riding. He was preceded in death by his parents and his daughter, Tonya Jeffers. Survivors include his wife, Juanita Jeffers; sons, Terry Jeffers, Jr., Jamie and Andrew Jeffers; daughters, Lynne Jeffers White and Erin Jeffers; sister, Pat Huntley and grandchildren, Kaylea, Samantha, Hannah, Abigail, T.J., Josiah, Bailey, Tristin, Jami Lynn and Joshua Jeffers, Drake Coers, Zoe Taylor, Joanie and Wade Hoilman, Jr. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Saturday, October 24, 2009 at Broadus-Raines Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, October 25, 2009 at Black Pond Baptist Church with Rev. Charlie Hunt officiating. Interment will follow in Black Pond Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Donald Mosley, Richard Trew, Randall Rye, Kevin Sellers, Adam Raulerson, Ryan Huntley, Carlos Wood and Wade Hoilman, Jr. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in his name may be made to the American Diabetes Association at www.diabetes.org.
