Estelle Davis Pippin

Estelle Davis Pippin died October 21, 2009 in Jacksonville, FL. Mrs. Pippin, a native of Hilliard, FL, was born October 8, 1915. She resided in Eagle Lake, FL for 40 years and several years in Middleburg, FL before returning to Hilliard. She was a member of Buford Grove Baptist Church. Mrs. Pippin was a devoted mother to her husband’s son, daughter and grandchildren. She is survived by five grandsons, Dwain, Kevin and Russell Pippin and David and Russell Duckworth; sister, Emily Conner; sister-in-law, JoAnn Davis; nine great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband of 52 years, William “Buddy” H. Pippin; parents, Donald and Evalina Swearingen Davis; step-mother, Vida Davis; son, Henry Pippin; daughter, Iris Duckworth; grandson, Gregory Pippin; granddaughter, Toni Duckworth; brothers, Van and Julius Davis and sisters, Ethel Westbrook and Pauline Crews. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, October 24, 2009 at Shepard Funeral Home, 600 Oak St., Folkston, GA 31537. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service in the funeral home. Pallbearers will be grandsons and nephews. Interment will take place at 12:00 Noon on Monday, October 26, 2009 from the graveside at Lakeside Memorial Park, Winter Haven, FL.
