Ethel Hannah Turi

Ethel Hannah Turi, 91, of Jacksonville, FL, passed away peacefully Friday, November 6, 2009. She was born on September 24, 1918 to parents Frank and Bertha Eidel in Woodburn, NY. Mrs. Turi moved to the Jacksonville area 16 years ago from Largo, FL. She was of the Catholic faith and will be dearly missed by her beloved family and friends. Mrs. Turi was a big Jaguar fan and a great meatball maker. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 55 years Thomas J. Turi and survived by her daughter, Connie Earnheart (Max); nieces, Linda Ackerson (James), Joan Benson, Patti Wheeler, Rita Turi and Theresa Turi; nephews, Ed Velie (Joan), Dwight Sommers (Bernice), Jim Eidel (Sandy), Tom Eidel (Cathy) and Richard Turi. Graveside inurnment of Mr. and Mrs. Turi, with military honors, will be held at Jacksonville National Cemetery on Tuesday, November 17, 2009 at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to the Earl B. Hadlow Center for Caring, 4266 Sunbeam Rd., Jacksonville, FL 32257.
