Arthur Lee Hyde

Arthur Lee Hyde, 82, of Orange Park, FL passed away Saturday, November 7, 2009. Born on August 22, 1927 to parents Zollie and Juanita Hyde in St. Louis, MO and moved to Orange Park in 1973 from Norfolk, VA. Mr. Hyde spent most of his life proudly serving his country in the United States Navy beginning with World War II and continuing through the Korean and Vietnam Wars obtaining the rank of Master Chief Petty Officer. After retiring from the military, Arthur worked as a mid level manager for the Federal Social Services and had memberships with the Orange Park United Methodist Church, the American Legion, and the Fleet Reserve Association. He is survived by his loving wife, Evelyn Hyde; a daughter, Rowena Towsley, Orange Park, FL; a brother, Charles Hyde, Frankfort, Germany and two grandchildren. A memorial service will be held 11:00am, Thursday, November 19, 2009 at Orange Park United Methodist Church with Associate Pastor Will Clark officiating.
