Mrs. Margaret Daisy Maxwell Brown Hunter, 93, of Salisbury, passed away Thursday, November 12, 2009 at Autumn Care of Salisbury. Born October 28, 1916 in Middleburg, Florida, she was the daughter of the late Alfred Ezekiel Maxwell and Bertha Bell McKnight Maxwell. Mrs. Hunter was a graduate of Clay County Schools and St. Luke’s Hospital Diploma School of Nursing in Florida and worked as a Registered Nurse. She is preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, C.V. Brown and second husband, Emmett Hunter, who passed away in 1981.Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Jean Brown Staley (Bill) of Salisbury; a step-daughter, Sara Frances Looper of Benbrook, Texas; three brothers, Julian Edward Maxwell of Orange Park, FL, Gordon E. Maxwell, and James L. Maxwell, both of Green Cove Springs, FL; one sister, Polly L. Krause of Green Cove Springs, FL; four granddaughters, and eight great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 10-11 AM-Tuesday Nov. 17, 2009 at Broadus-Raines Chapel in. Funeral Service will be held at the Graveside at 11:30 AM at Hickory Grove Cemetery Green Cove Springs, Florida.
