Mrs. Jane Elizabeth Parker of Penney Farms, FL. 77, passed away peacefully after a long illness on December 10, 2009 at Orange Park Medical Center. Jane was born on January 7, 1932 in Vandalia, Illinois and attended Monmouth Collage in Monmouth, IL. She was a homemaker with her family as the central interest of her life. Jane worked as a clerk and assistant store manager during her children’s collage years. She was a Deacon in the Presbyterian Church and Cub Scout Leader. Her hobbies included flower raising, sewing and gardening. Jane was married on September 19, 1954 and is survived by her loving husband of 55 years Richard Parker; sons, David and John Parker; daughters, Elizabeth Westerfield and Patricia Tran; grandchildren, Phillip, Ian, Benjamin and Clara Parker, Meghan Hill, Kara and Eric Westerfield and Ryan Tran; and her brother David Paulding. A private graveside service will be held at Penney Farms Retirement Community Cemetery in Penney Farms, FL on Saturday, December 12, 2009 and a memorial service will be held at a later date in the Penney Memorial Church. The family extends grateful thanks to the staff of Orange Park Medical Center, Memorial Hospital, Northeast Florida Community Hospice and Life Care Center at Wells Crossing. The family also extends grateful thanks to the many supporting friends in the Penney Farms Retirement Community.
