Cesar T. Payad “Papa”, 69, of Fleming Island, FL, passed away on Monday, December 21, 2009. He was born on November 28, 1940 to parents Isidro and Felicidad Payad in Silang Cavite, Philippines. At the age of 22, Mr. Payad came to this country and joined the United States Navy and retired after 20 years of honorable service. Cesar achieved the American Dream. He became a successful real estate entrepreneur. He always said “That he would build a dynasty and leave his legacy.” Cesar will always be remembered as a loving husband, caring father and proud papa. In his spare time he enjoyed playing with his grandchildren and cooking family feasts. He is a faithful member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. Mr. Payad is survived by his loving wife of 43 years Felicitas Payad; son, Francis Payad; daughters, Jennifer Wright (Clifford), Annabelle Ramirez (Allan) and Melissa Monje (Jowell); loving niece, Jackie Thompson (Rick); sisters, Asuncion, Aurora, Felice, and Lilia; grandchildren, Alexandria, Gabriel, Asaiah, Gianna, Alijah, Aaron, Jacob, Noah and Caleb; grandnephew, Matthew. Vigil/Rosary service will be held Tuesday, December 29, 2009 at 6:00 pm followed by visitation until 8:00 pm at Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Fleming Island,
FL. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Wednesday, December 30, 2009 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, presided by Father Donal Sullivan.
