Opal Harriet Stephens

Opal Harriet Stephens, 78, of Jacksonville, FL, passed away Tuesday, December 29, 2009. She was born January 6, 1931 in New Smyrna Beach, FL to the parents of Cecil and Nettie Moody. For many years Opal had worked as a waitress at many establishments including Charcoal Stake House, Emerald Restaurant, and Strickland’s Town House. In her past time Opal loved to dance and spend time with family. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Mrs. Stephens is survived by her 100 year old mother; daughters, Dianne Pless of Jacksonville, FL, Nancy L. Pless-Phillippe (Pete) of Santa Rosa, CA; sister, Cecelia Robbins (Carl) of Jacksonville, FL; brothers, C.W. Moody (Sandra) and Ralph Moody (Judy) of Palatka, FL; grandson, Darrin Wayne Elliott.
