Charles Carlo "Sparky" Di Leonardi, Jr.

Charles Carlo “Sparky” Di Leonardi, Jr., 63, of Fleming Island, FL, passed away Sunday, January 3, 2010. He was born on July 18, 1946 in Baltimore, MD to parents, Charles and Mildred Di Leonardi, Sr. He graduated from Southern High School in Baltimore, MD and received honors for never missing a day of school from Kindergarten to 12th grade where he was the Class President. He was in Manpower Management with CSX for 40 years. Mr. Di Leonardi transferred to the local area from Baltimore, MD 16 years ago with CSX. He enjoyed hardworking people and was known as “Sparky” and the “Devil” to his family and friends at CSX. He was a true people person who had a wonderful way to make people laugh. Mr. Di Leonardi was of the Lutheran faith and attended St. Catherine’s Catholic Church. He enjoyed, golf, fishing and card games. He loved his dog, Charlie and his cat, Kitty Cat and will be dearly missed by his loving family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Linda Di Leonardi; children, Edward P. (Risha) Di Leonardi, Terry D. (Suzette) Di Leonardi, Loretta L. (Barend) Watkins, Angel D. (Gregory) Hershkopf and Krystle D. Di Leonardi; aunt, Jean (Clifford) Stoffel and grandchildren, Carl, Jessica, Michael, Jacob, Macey Lynn, Cheylynn, Victoria, Braden “Spike”, Aubrey, Hope, Cyndy Joy and Heavynn Shy. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm Wednesday, January 6, 2010 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Thursday, January 7, 2010 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel with Father James R. Boddie, Jr. officiating. Mr. Di Leonardi will be flown to Castlewood, VA where visitation will be held 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Friday, January 8, 2010 at Castlewood Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, January 9, 2010 at Castlewood Funeral Home with entombment following in Temple Hill Memorial Park.
