Gladys "Gay" Young Robinson

Gladys "Gay" Young Robinson, of Penney Farms, Florida, beloved wife of Richard Robinson for 53 years, died December 10, 2009 at Orange Park Medical Center, Orange Park, FL. She was born in Philadelphia, Pa. on July 3, 1936, daughter of the late Francis and Gladys Young and was a graduate of Radnor High School, Radnor, Pa. Prior to moving to Penney Farms Retirement Community, she had lived for many years in Plantation, Fla. where she was an active member of Plantation United Methodist Church and had retired from The Travelers Insurance Co. Her kind and caring spirit will be missed by her friends and family. She is also survived by two daughters, Lynn Robinson Leary of Danbury, Conn. and Jo Robinson Calamusa and husband, Mark of Roswell, Ga.; her sister, Nancy Sellman and husband Lee; and five grandchildren: Robert and Jonathan Leary, and Megan, Lori and Dylan Calamusa; and numerous nephews and nieces. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by daughter, Jan Leigh Robinson. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 16, 2010, 2 p.m. in the chapel at Penney Farms Retirement Center, Penney Farms, FL. A private interment will be held at the Memorial Gardens.
