Oran Lavon Crosby

Oran Lavon Crosby, 80, of Jacksonville, FL passed away Monday, January 25, 2010. He was born to Calvin and Goldie Crosby on December 30, 1929 in Blackshear, GA. Mr. Crosby honorable served in the United States Army and retired as Sergeant 1st Class, after 20 years of service. In his career he was a helicopter mechanic and a maintenance supervisor. He was also a decorated with an Air Medal, Army Commendation and the National Defense Service Medal with 1 Oak Leaf Cluster. Mr. Crosby is survived by his wife loving wife of 53 years Billie L. Crosby and niece Sharon Wise (Wayne). A Graveside service will be held at the Jacksonville National Cemetery, 12:30 pm, Thursday, January 28, 2010. Military honors will be conferred at the cemetery.
