Daisy Lee Edwards

Daisy Lee Edwards, 60, of Fleming Island, FL, passed away peacefully, in her own home, on Wednesday, February 3, 2010. She was born on September 19, 1949 in Waycross, GA to parents, Harold and Almaree Cummings. Daisy has lived in the local area for the past 48 years. Mrs. Edwards worked at Quest Diagnostics as an Account Executive for the past 23 years. She was a faithful member of Hibernia Baptist Church in Fleming Island, FL. In her spare time she loved to golf, play tennis, go fishing and, of course, shop. Daisy is preceded in death by both of her parents and is survived by her loving husband of 43 years Dr. David Edwards, Sr.; sons, David Edwards, Jr. (Heather) and Brad Edwards (Roxie); brothers, Bobby Cummings and Leroy Cummings (Jamie); grandchildren, Bailey, Clay, Jake, Dalton, Jena Lee, and Mason. She will always be remembered as a loving mother, Granny Girl, “GG”, sister and aunt. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Friday, February 5, 2010 at Hibernia Baptist Church, 7100 Hwy 17 South, Fleming Island, FL 32003. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, February 6, 2010 at Hibernia Baptist Church with and Rev. Scott Yirka and Rev. Rick Baldwin officiating.
