Paul "Perk" Robert Kort

Paul “Perk” Kort, 63, of Jacksonville, FL, passed away Tuesday, February 2, 2010, after an extended illness. He was born on March 6, 1946 in Erie, PA to parents John and Norma Kort. Mr. Kort moved to the local area from Erie, PA in 1981. Paul was a faithful member of Grace Episcopal Church in Orange Park, Fl for many years. In his spare time he was an avid golfer and fisherman. Paul was also a big football fan. He enjoyed watching the Jacksonville Jaguars, Miami Dolphins and the Florida Gators play. Mr. Kort was also known to play Penny Poker with his friends and family. He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years Alice Kort; son Christopher Kort; daughter, Mary Cooper (Charles); brother, Jack Kort (Patricia), Richard Kort and Michael Kort (Maria); grandchildren, Hannah and Nicholas. Paul will always be remembered as a loving husband, doting father, proud grandfather and loyal brother. A memorial service in his honor will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, February 13, 2010 at Grace Episcopal Church, 245 Kingsley Ave., Orange Park, FL with Reverend Kurk Dunkel officiating.
